Sports Extra High School and College Athletes light up the track!

It was a busy weekend for current and alumni members of the Sports Extra Family.  For many of the athletes that currently train with Sports Extra it was the PTFCA Indoor State Championships at Penn State on Saturday February 23.Some of the girls highlights include Katelyn Jackson’s 1st place in the 200m and 2nd place in the 60m Dash for team Cheltenham, Taylor Chapman and Katrina Przybylowski for Pennridge’s 4x200m relay and Casey Harewood with her 4th place  medal in the high jump representing Liberty High School.  For the boys, the highlights include Corey Muggler’s 5th place medal in Triple Jump along with his 8th place finish in Long Jump Wissahickon’s Cornell Dixon also medaled in the 4x400m relay.  If was a successful day for the Sports Extra Family. 

Not to be outdone by the younger Sports Extra Family members, several of the Sports Extra Collegians competed in the Ivy League Heptagonals on Saturday at Harvard University.  Max Hairston (Cornell) , Taylor Morgan (Princeton), Eliana Yankelev UPenn), Annie Holland (UPenn) , Ryan Hynes (Cornell)  and Tom Hopkins (Princeton) and the newest member of the family Julia Ratcliffe (Princeton) all competed

The following medals were won. Max took 1st place in the Men’s 60m Hurdles, Tom took 2nd in 400m, 1st in 4x400m relay, 3rd in long jump, Eliana took 7th in Women’s 60m Hurdles and Julia brought home 2nd place in the weight throw.  Julia, Max and Tom were also named to the All-Ivy list for Indoor 2013.

DVGTCA Indoor Consolation Championship 2/6/13
